Introduction

Connect ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor or other AI platforms directly to your Cite AI workspace using MCP. This allows your AI assistant to access real AI visibility data from inside your existing workflow.

What You Can Do

  • Monitor AI visibility across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI, Claude, and other AI-driven search experiences
  • Benchmark competitors using visibility, share of voice, citations, and positioning.
  • Understand source influence by identifying which websites, forums, articles, and URLs AI platforms rely on most
  • Track prompt-level performance to see which user queries your brand appears in
  • Analyze trends over time across prompts, competitors, AI models, and topics
  • Access visibility insights conversationally without exporting reports or switching between dashboards
  • Manage prompts and tracked competitors directly through supported MCP-enabled assistants

How It Works

1. Connect Cite AI

Add the Cite AI MCP server URL to your preferred AI assistant. Setup guides are available for ChatGPT, Claude, or Cursor.

2. Authorize Access

Sign in with your Cite AI account and approve the connection. Authentication only needs to happen once.

3. Start Asking Questions

Once connected, your AI assistant can pull live visibility data directly from Cite AI.

Example questions:

  • “Which competitors are gaining visibility in ChatGPT?”
  • “What prompts are we appearing for most often?”
  • “Which sources influence our AI citations?”
  • “How has our share of voice changed this month?”
